Julianne Moore’s Delpozo dress is arty, with its trapeze cut, inverted-cuff shoulders and flower-stencil print. Such a strong look would clash with an LA-standard spray-tan, but is fresh and girlish thanks to Julianne’s porcelain skin and natural hair. I like her Givenchy sandals.
Orange gowns and red carpets don’t enhance one another, but orange looks good on the blonde and bronzed. Laura Dern looks lean and lovely in this Matthew Williamson column. The sequins and purple flowers are accessories enough, so she keeps things minimal.
Reese Witherspoon is doll-like in this simple Michael Kors shift. The polka-dots are tiny pearls and dress things up a little, as do her Christian Louboutin Iriza courts. That visible waist-seam needs belting. I love carefully-tonged curls, but this is not my favourite look from Reese.
Rosamund Pike brings the spring flowers in this super-short Alexander McQueen dress. The triangular cut would have had me worrying about my hem-span all night. The Brian Atwood sandals are a flattering choice.
