On the red carpet: Elizabeth Banks

Elizabeth Banks brought a lot of dress to the London premiere of Mockingjay - Part 1. 

I don’t love the caped back but if this Elie Saab Couture gown was an attempt to steal the spotlight from her beautiful co-stars, it definitely worked.

I didn’t recognise Jennifer Lawrence at first glance here. White makeup has a transformative power greater than any bronzer. He Dior Couture dress is positively angelic. Her leg-lengthening black sandals are picked up by an Alice band which pulls the look together.

Anne Hathaway has been so adventurous with her look since ending her lacklustre relationship with stylist Rachel Zoe. She looked happy and comfortable in Lanvin at the Shanghai premiere of Interstellar and gets props for her courageous fashion efforts this month.

Few stars wear a whole Etro look on the red carpet, as Kate Beckinsale does here at the Breakthrough Prize Awards in Mountain View, California. I think it is because the brand’s exotic prints are so polarising. Kate’s risk totally paid off.
