Highlights from the red carpet this week

We’re used to seeing Glee’s Lea Michele dressed as a mini-bombshell on the red carpet but this Cushnie et Ochs design would make Kylie jealous. 

She accessorised the teal velvet dress with Chelsea Paris sandals and Broken English jewellery for the American Horror Story: Freak Show premiere in LA.

Suede is an unusual choice for evening-wear but Dakota Fanning’s fringed Valentino Resort dress looks fresh and fun. The actress paired this scarlet number with the Italian brand’s signature studded pumps for the Effie Gray premiere in London.

Marion Cotillard wore Dior to the New York premiere of Two Days, One Night. This look is next season — hot off last month’s Paris catwalk and the epitome of “sports-luxe.” I quite like the coat but I can’t get on board with board-shorts on the red carpet.

Emma Roberts looked every inch the elegant ingenue at the LA premiere of American Horror Story: Freak Show in this Saint Laurent gown with cut-out details and a slit. The risqué elements don’t take from its classic appeal. Roberts accessorised with an artfully disheveled bun and Casadei black suede “cage” sandals.
