What are you wearing? I’m wearing Zara chinos (€20) and shoes (€50) with a silk shirt from my own label Caroline Matthews (€250).

Describe your style in three words? Wearable, cool, sleek.

How long does it take you to get dressed in the morning? I would love to say ages but I’m ready and out of the door in half an hour. I don’t spend time thinking about outfits to wear; although I do think about it the night before (a little!).

Fashion or function – which word best describes your attitude to clothes and why? Both. I think its important to leave the house feeling amazing and functional because there is no point wearing something you can’t move in, even though I’m a firm believer in heels at any opportunity.

What’s your biggest source of style inspiration? I get inspiration from everywhere. I follow quite a lot of fashion blogs in the States for street style; they always look cool and effortless which to me is what style is about.

What do you think of Irish street style? There are some very cool people around. Men seem to be taking a more active role in wearing different pieces, especially nice tweed blazers with skinny jeans. I love that look!

Where do you like to shop? Zara, Maje, COS and my own label.

Who or what is Ireland’s greatest undiscovered gem? Tina Hemlock Coyle – she is an amazing milliner from Kinsale.

Why does your style/outfit work? The shirt is from my own collection and the purpose behind it is to take a woman from day to night, so I can come to work and then go straight for drinks after without the need to change.
