Trend of the week: Ireland’s steetwear label Manley
What do stars like Laura Whitmore, Amy Huberman and Saoirse Ronan have in common? A love for Manley — the eponymous label founded in 2010 by Dublin designer Emma Manley. Six collections and a gaggle of industry plaudits later; the 27-year-old contines to wow with her edgy elegant aesthetic.
For autumn/winter 14 expect Manley’s trademark blend of tailoring and embellishment with scalloped edge leathers, wools and doublelayered silk wrought in notice-me teal, orange and metallics.
It’s no surprise that quality is key to the Manley mantra, having trained at Alexander McQueen and sportswear brand VPL. Materials are sourced from the world’s finest luxury houses and innovative manufacturing methods of laser cutting are fused with time-honoured, hand-sewn and embellished detailing. Emma produces 50% of Manley in Ireland ensuring affordable, beautiful, crafted luxury in every garment.
