WHY IT WORKS

What are you wearing? I’m wearing a Bastyan dress (€195), Topshop jacket (€35), River Island boots (€30), Miss Selfridge bag (€22), Michael Kors watch (€250) and my grandmother’s vintage necklace.

Describe your style in three words? Classic, feminine and casual.

How long does it take you to get dressed in the morning? Not long. I like to be comfortable and my day-to-day look is quite casual, so never more than ten minutes.

Fashion or function — which word best describes your attitude to clothes and why? Function for me unfortunately. Even if a pair of heels or a dress looked great, if I can’t move, walk or dance comfortably, it’s not going to happen!

What’s your biggest source of style inspiration? I love to look to the past for inspiration; timeless classics like a well cut jacket, the perfect pair of jeans and a plain white t-shirt never date.

Where do you like to shop? I would be lost without Penneys. Topshop is also very affordable and do great sales. Brown Thomas is my go-to for something a little bit special.

Why does your style/outfit work? I love this tropical print dress from the Bastyan spring/summer collection. It’s formal enough for work when worn with tights and a jacket, without looking too dull. I’ll be wearing it with bare legs, gold sandals and a fedora during the summer. The perfect trans-seasonal piece!
