Trend of the week: power pink

INSPIRATION

Pastels may be leading the fashion fray for s/s 14 but pink is without doubt its break out star. Think arresting shades of magenta, fuchsia and acid hues. Whether discretely colour-blocked as seen at Paul Smith or coopted head-to-toe by Temperley London – the result is always punchy. Pink props however belong to Victoria Beckham whose full length fuchsia frock looks set to be a red carpet sensation.

STYLE NOTES

Make like Victoria Beckham and colour block fuchsia with optic white and rich oxblood. Push the pantone boundaries by pairing magenta with teal or cobalt blue. Take fuchsia to the office with natty neutrals like putty, mushroom or light grey. Amp up the vamp factor of an LBD with magenta heels and a slick of magenta lippie.
