Street Trend: Laura Kinsella

This week we meet Laura Kinsella and Judith Graepel.

Street Trend: Laura Kinsella

Name: Laura Kinsella

Age: 31

Occupation: PhD candidate

Favourite shops? Urban Outfitters, Zara and vintage shops. I love Shutterbug in Kilkenny

What are you wearing? Shoes, online, from Hudson in Office, €150; dress, Reiss, €50 in a sale; jacket, Urban Outfitters, birthday present; wrap, vintage shop

Most expensive item ever bought? I try not to spend too much money on clothes. I have a threshold of €200 for a really good pair of boots or a jacket and I work the sales

Best bargain? A vintage, sequinned dress from 9 Crow Street in Dublin for €30, that I’ve seen in other places for about €200

Best dressed celebrity? I love Kate Moss, even if it is a bit of a cliché. My favourite is Emily Haines, the lead singer of Metric, she’s incredible

Worst dressed celebrity? I don’t know. I like it when people just do their own thing

How much would you spend on fashion every month? I don’t know, maybe €200 if I’m feeling flush

Fashion faux-pas? Trying too hard, or trying to be someone they’re not. But I really admire it when I see people just rocking their own thing

Name: Judith Graepel

Age: 40s

Occupation: Legal secretary

Favourite shops? Penneys and Monsoon — during the sales — Zara and H&M on occasion

What are you wearing? Shoes, Marks & Spencer, €35; skirt, Monsoon, €60; top, Kookai, €50; jacket, Zara, €50; handbag, TK Maxx, €50

Most expensive item ever bought? I think it might have been a top that I bought for €150 but never wore. It was an unusual design, with lots of detail and is gorgeous

Best bargain? A velvet coat with satin panelling from Heaton’s, which was about €30 and has lots of lovely detailing, especially on the back, which I love. I get so many compliments on it

Best dressed celebrity? Cameron Diaz always looks amazing

Worst dressed celebrity? I don’t know why Angelina Jolie always wears black, when she’s so beautiful. On the other hand, nothing she can do is as bad as Kim Kardashian

How much would you spend on fashion every month? About €150 I guess, depending on whether it’s a good month or not

Fashion faux-pas? The muffin-top, and things that don’t fit right
