TREND OF THE WEEK: MIAMI HEAT
The decadent baroque print made popular by Versace in the `80s and `90s has found its fashion feet again.
Renaissance-inspired, the signature chains, Medusa heads and leopard skins have been reworked for 2012 including kaleidoscope florals, palm trees and serious Latino flair.
The look is Miami kitsch with lashings of attitude – think bra tops, breathtakingly skinny jeans, spiky heels and scorching hot pants.
* Pair a crop top with a palm tree pencil skirt. Drape a colourful cardi over your shoulders, and add stilettos.
* Clash and burn – mix up those prints for a super hot Versace take on the trend. Top tip: mix the same print in different colours or different prints in similar colours for a more cohesive look.
* A baroque silk head scarf and oversized sunnies pay a more discreet tribute to the trend.
* Tie your favourite shirt at the waist and team with colourful Capri pants for an easy breezy summer feel.
