The s/s `12 runways were awash with white in a host of guises from graphically precise cuts to girlish

silks and broderie anglaise. We loved the crisp tailoring at Stella McCartney; not to mention the

whimsical dresses at Louis Vuitton and Simon Rocha’s nu-age trapped lace – a favourite too of Lady Gaga.

Style Notes

* Wear head-to-toe whites for a clean optic silhouette.

* Too stark? Offset the minimalist hue with black separates for a more wearable monochrome look.

* Colour-block like a pro with a singular bright accessory like a neon tote.

* If you buy one thing this season make it a white shirt – button at the neck and wear with this season’s floral trousers.
