Brooke Shields has said it was “refreshing” playing a woman her own age, with a career and children but who still has “such life in her”.

The American actress, 56, stars as successful author Sophie Brown, who travels to Scotland to escape a scandal, in Netflix romantic-comedy A Castle For Christmas.
