Green Day to give Irish fans the time of their lives next summer
Green Day have announced that they will play Dublin in the of summer 2017.
The rockers will play an outdoor gig in Royal Hospital Kilmainham on June 29.
(And yes, we still find the phrase 'outdoor gig in Ireland' a little strange).
"Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and Grammy Award-winning rock band Green Day announce they will return to Dublin, June 29th 2017 at Royal Hospital Kilmainham with special guests Rancid (subject to licence),” MCD Productions have said following the announcement.
"This is an over 18’s event, patrons are requested to respect the privacy and property of local residents."
The gig will also feature special guests, Rancid.
The announcement comes shortly after the release of Green Day's 12th studio album, Revolution Radio, which launched last month.
The band, who are one of the world's best-selling bands of all time, released their 12th studio album, entitled “Revolution Radio” this year.
Tickets from €59.50, includes booking fee additional charges may apply.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am from all usual Ticketmaster outlets.
