Jeremy Clarkson is being paid €13.75m for his Amazon car show.

The 55-year-old presenter and his former 'Top Gear' co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond are set to front a new motoring show on Amazon Prime and although Jeremy was sacked from the BBC for punching a producer in a row over a steak, he's reportedly trumped his colleagues when it comes to wages.

While Clarkson, who has been replaced by BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans on 'Top Gear', will earn a whopping £10m (€13.75m) for each series, May, Hammond and producer Andy Wilman will each receive £7.2m, an amount totalling over £30m.

A source shared: "Jeremy would be looking at £9.6 million a series with the other two not far behind, on the same deal as the producer. Clarkson may have lamped someone over a hot dinner but he'll be raking it in."

In addition to the stars' payments, Amazon have also put aside £160 million for the three series that have so far been announced, meaning each individual episode will have a budget of £4.5 million.

However, a TV executive has insisted that although Amazon have dedicated a huge amount of money to the project, there is no guarantee that it will be as successful as 'Top Gear'.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "People are wondering if the programme will lose its charm.

"Having the three of them careering around in souped-up bangers was at the heart of what they did, giving them too much money could ruin all that."
