If you were strolling around Dublin this weekend you might have witnessed the extent of utter fan girlmania, and wondered “who’s in town?”.

Now unless you work in a bookshop, are a self-proclaimed YouTube addict, under the age of 16 or a parent of a teenage girl, the chances are you have not heard of Alfie Deyes until now.

Alfie Deyes, or ‘Pointless Blog’, is one of YouTube's top british vloggers with more than five million subscribers to his three YouTube channels; Pointlessblog, PointlessBlogTv and Alfiegames.

Alfie touched down on our shores this weekend as part of a tour for his second book, simply named ‘The Pointless Book 2’.

Tickets for his Dublin book signing were secured through a lottery system; 500 places, 4,000 applications.

It’s safe to say, #pointlessbloginIreland broke the Internet.
