Read Ian McKellen’s touching report on his first Beauty and the Beast rehearsal
It was announced over the weekend that Ian McKellen would be joining the already star-studded cast of Disney’s new Beauty and the Beast.
The legendary actor will play the Cogsworth (the grandfather clock) in the live-action remake and yesterday he attended his first table reading alongside Emma Watson, Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson and Josh Gad.

After the session, Ian took to facebook to give us a recap of how it all went down - and yes, it is all as magical as we thought it would be.

Actor Josh Gad - who is better known as the voice of Olaf from Disney’s Frozen - also updated his social media after the reading, although not as touching as McKellen’s piece, a picture says a thousand words.
