Kanye West rescued from a lake after being mobbed by fans

Kanye West had to be rescued from a lake in Armenia last night as he was mobbed by fans.

The US rapper was performing a free concert in the Armenian capital of Yerevan, when he decided to stride into a nearby lake (as you do).

Before the water walk, West shouted to the thousands of fans: "Over there, can y'all see me over there? We're going to do something different right now, like, like, like we always do it this time!"

*Cue Kayne striding into the nearby lake*.

Security rushed to plucked West out of the scrum of fans and photographers who waded in after him.

The rapper has been in Armenia with wife Kim Kardashian on a high-profile trip to connect with her family's heritage.

Kardashian seemed impressed with her husband's exploits, tweeting:
