TV actor Woolf loses fight for life

American Horror Story actor Ben Woolf has died, days after being struck by a car in Hollywood.

The diminutive 34-year-old actor, who had been in the FX TV show since 2011, died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, with his family at his side, his publicist Zack Teperman said.

Woolf, who was 4ft 4ins, had been in a critical condition since he was hit by the side mirror of a passing car last Thursday. The driver, who stopped at the scene, was not arrested.

In a statement, Woolf’s family said they had been overwhelmed by the love and support they received for him.

Mr Teperman said Woolf was “one-of-a-kind” and a caring and hard-working man.

Woolf played two characters in American Horror Story – Infantata in the first series and Meep in the most recent, Freak Show.

"He was a tremendous professional and an incredibly kind person, beloved by the American Horror Story family,'' FX and the show's producers said.
