Dawn O’Porter: I do love my cat, but the way I love my son is off the scale

Dawn O’ Porter and Chris O’Dowd welcomed their son Art into the world three weeks ago.

Since giving birth Dawn has said she was most surprised by how mother made her feel.

"People with kids tell you about it, but it's impossible to grasp before you experience it yourself. Nothing compares," she said.

"I am mortified by the fact I used to tell people I understood what they meant because of how much I love my cat.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I do love my cat, but the way I love Art is off the scale.

Dawn also admitted she even misses her baby when he's taking a nap.

"When he sleeps I miss him. The relentlessness of this mission would be impossible without that love. Nature really is wonderful," she said.

Dawn also joked that the couple’s main exercise now is changing their clothes on multiple occasions throughout the day.

"I've never had such a good excuse to have so many outfit changes throughout the course of a day," she told Glamour magazine.

"I get dressed, he pukes all over us, then I dress us both up in something silly. What is there not to love?"
