Dispute stops Boyzone using Gately's voice on anniversary CD

Boyzone have been banned from using the voice of singer Stephen Gately on their next album.

Band member Shane Lynch has said a dispute with representatives of the estate of the late singer, who died in October 2009, means they are unable to include new material featuring the Dublin-born star on a 20th anniversary CD.

The 36-year-old said Gately had been working on new material with Boyzone at the time of his death, but there was now a dispute over who owned the rights to the recordings.
