'Love/Hate' doesn't glamourise violence, says actor
A 'Love/Hate' actor has today defended the show against claims that it glamourises violence.
Robert Sheehan, who plays Darren, said that he believes the script is brilliantly written.
The 24-year-old Laois man said that while the programme is entertaining, the characters are not heroes.
"I honestly don't think it glamourises violence,
"At no point do I watch the show and do I think these guys are heroes for pulling guns on people or, you know, threatening women.
"I don't think there'e anything laudable in their violence at all. I mean, I think this year, maybe the violence has been presented more explicitly that it did last year.
"I think people are always going to say that because of the level of violence in the show."
