Gardaí ask children to name their newest recruit

An Garda Siochána have asked children to name their newest member of the team for National Slow Down Day.

Schoolchildren are being asked to participate by submitting name suggestions for their newest member or to create a poster, song or poem to highlight the dangers of speeding.

All entries should be submitted by emailing [e-mail] (with the help of mammy or daddy), the closing date is October 31.
