The moment a woman parked a Mercedes on top of a Ferrari

A driver in Virginia was left red-faced on Saturday when she accidentally backed into a top of the range Ferrari in front of a crowd of local car enthusiasts, many of whom immediately began filming on their phones.

One of the videos show the rear of the woman’s Mercedes convertible sitting on the bonnet of a Ferrari 458 Speciale with a car alarm blaring.

The incident happened outside a weekly meeting at Katie’s Classic Cars & Coffee. One man, who appears to be the owner, asks the woman who was behind the wheel of the Mercedes "are you serious? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen."

The Ferrari 458 has a list price of more than $290,000 (about €260,000) and a top speed of over 200 miles per hour.

Fairfax County police say they helped the drivers exchange information, but no one will be charged

According to an onlooker, the Ferrari was parked when the driver of the Merc "put it in reverse rather than drive, drove into it, not seeing it, and continued to floor it because she didn’t understand why her car wasn’t moving".

His video shows the state of the Ferrari after the Mercedes had been removed.

Could have been worse?
