This is why you shouldn't park your car near a lake in winter

Cars must be defrosted and driving to work demands more caution.

But imagine how one New York driver felt when they went to go to work to find their car completely frozen over.

New York has been battling severe winter conditions with temperatures dropping to -4 degrees celsius with plenty of wind, snow and ice hitting people in the Big Apple.

One driver made the mistake of parking their car next to Lake Erie for the night.

With 75km/h winds causing waves to spill over the lakes barriers and freeze, the car was covered in water and naturally it froze over.

Whoever it is better get the kettle...defrosting those windows might take some time.
