Dublin hotel hopes for a flood of bookings with Irish Water application ’airplanes’

So who remembers Charleville Lodge Hotel?

Think back to when Garth Brooks was still a welcomed name in this country. Yup, that’s right, they were the hotel that PROMISED the nation that Brooks was coming.

And then they issued an apology that can only be described as so sarcastic, Father Jack would have been proud.

Well, the social media team for the hotel are, once again, a source for controversy.

“Did you register for Irish Water today?” the post reads.

"If so, you are a little silly, as paying for something twice doesn't seem to make much sense. If not, don't worry!

"You may not get your free €100, but we will reward you just as much here at Charleville Lodge Hotel Dublin."

They are offering their Facebook and Twitter followers 50% off of their night stay at the hotel, if they present at reception with their Irish Water registration packs formed into a unique paper airplane.

"If you present your #IrishWater application form on check in at our hotel in the form of a paper airplane, we will give you a 50% discount on your room rate.

"Yes, I said 50%! So, if your bill comes to €200, you will get your €100 reward anyway!”

The hotel aren’t looking for boring old paper planes. They want their customers to come up with imaginative ways to use their Irish Water packs.

"I don't want any lame attempts!

"You need to book either over the phone 01 8386633 or by email info@charlevillelodge.ie.

"Don't forget to mention you are in possession of an Irish Water airplane at the time of booking.”

Should you choose to accept their offer, this tutorial might be of some help...
