Gardaí tweet funny response to driver's insurance disc alteration

The deadpan hilarity of the An Garda Síochana Twitter account continues to be a source of much amusement.

Today they tweeted one of their finest.

A driver who had altered their disc details with paper and a marker wasn't going to catch anyone out but the Garda Twitter account did give them sarcastic credit for the attempt all the same.

Unfortunately for the driver, they won't be getting a Blue Peter badge, but they did get a €600 fine and a year long disqualification at Waterford District Court.
