These pictures show that even the Pope can suffer from a wardrobe malfunction – or rather problems at the hand of a mistimed/well-timed gust of wind.

The pictures were captured as the Pope gave his weekly general audience, in St. Peter’s Square, at the Vatican.

As can be seen, strong winds lifted his pellegrina, or short shoulder cape.

The Vatican later shared similar pictures on Facebook with the caption “Windy day in Rome!”
