Walsh: Tulisa’s blonde do ‘awful’

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has welcomed his fellow judge Tulisa’s return to her dark roots — and blasted her bleach job as “awful”.

Walsh: Tulisa’s blonde do ‘awful’

Chart star Tulisa unveiled a blonde hairdo in July as she attended a high court hearing as she pursued legal action against an ex-boyfriend over a leaked sex tape.

But she went dark again this week as she prepared for the live stages of the X Factor which start tonight on TV3.

In an interview on ITV’s Daybreak, Walsh spoke of his affection for the singer who sits next to him on the panel. He said: “She is like a really bold sister. You know if you had a sister that was a tomboy, who beat you up? That’s what she’s like. I love her.”

The outspoken judge went on to say he approved of the popstar’s new brunette hairdo. “She’s looking really well. She’s got the black hair back, that blonde thing is gone. It was awful. She’s looking amazing now.”

He also reiterated his infamous remark that Tulisa was a “chav in a tracksuit”.

“She is a chav and she has got a nice tracksuit. I love Tulisa. It’s a term of endearment.”

The Mayo judge also voiced his opinion of the haircut of X Factor boss Simon Cowell. “Simon has a very unusual haircut. It’s very square,” he said.

And he said he was very happy to be sitting next to new judge Nicole Scherzinger who has taken over from Kelly Rowland. “Nicole is gorgeous. I love her. I have always loved her.”
