Seamus O’Rourke stars in this adaptation of John B Keane’s acclaimed play. John Bosco McLaine is a man who has never lain down with a woman, but has had romantic blood pulsing through his veins all his life. Always an optimist, and virgin in equal measure, he embarks on a search for an ideal companion regardless of age, failure rate or dammed advice!… and in a community where advice is ample and women few, he follows his heart in an ultimate bid to procure himself a wife.
The Island Drift returns to Garnish Island this week, combining music, literature, nature, and heritage in one of Ireland's most picturesque settings. She will be chatting about her path to self-love, from her questionable dating decisions to using booze to quell her constant Irish state of mortification, to getting wrongly arrested for drug smuggling and to discovering that she had the power to create her own happiness after all. Each ticket includes a signed copy of the book.
