Amber Davies calls out Dublin audience member for filming Legally Blonde performance
Amber Davies plays the lead, Elle Woods, in the production of Legally Blonde that is currently touring the UK and Ireland.
West End star Amber Davies has called out bad behaviour at the theatre and claimed an audience member “distracted” the cast in Ireland at the weekend.
The former star spoke out about having to ask for an audience member who filmed the performance from the front row to be kicked out.
Posting a video to her Instagram stories during the interval of Saturday night's show at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin, she said: "Daily reminder not to film at the theatre. Unfortunately tonight at the Bord Gáis – we’ve got a beautiful audience – but there's just one woman in the front row, been filming the entirety of act one, it's had us all distracted.”
In the video, which was later reposted by a fan account on TikTok, she went on to say that a few people had been filming during the performances of in Ireland.

Davies said that she is the type of person who will work out what seat a person is sitting in so that they can be told to leave by venue staff, if they are filming and distracting the cast.
“So don’t film. Let’s just enjoy the two and a half hours together. We don’t need to be filming everything,” she continued.
Davies, who won the third series of ITV's in 2017, has since gone on to have a career in acting and musical theatre – something that was always a passion of hers.
She is currently playing the lead character, Elle Woods, in the production of touring the UK and Ireland.
Davies was still in costume with her microphone still in place, when she recorded the video during the interval, before heading back out on stage to perform act two.
