Kevin Bridges review: Scottish comedian’s phoneless gig a fun end to Marquee season

Bridges was last in Cork in 2023 when he recorded a Netflix special at Cork Opera House, which he recalled with fondness. The comic will close the Live at the Marquee season with his Saturday night gig at the venue

There was some consternation heard from some entering Live at the Marquee on Friday evening as gig-goers en route to see funnyman Kevin Bridges were delayed in their entry by having to place their mobile devices into a designated pouch.

The Scottish comedian brought his Kevin Bridges and Friends tour to the Rebel County with a strict no-phones policy in place, meaning ticket holders had to lock their phones into a Yondyr pouch before taking their seats, with the pouches only unlocked upon exiting the venue. While it made entry and exit a bit slower than usual, it made for an extremely engaged audience once the comedy began on stage.
