More casting announced for Irish-filmed Netflix adaptation of Claire Keegan short story

Netflix has announced additional casting on the drama based on the romance short story by Irish author Claire Keegan.
The streaming giant previously announced that is coming to screens, with Andrew Scott, Ciarán Hinds, Tom Cullen, and Emily Blunt set to feature.
Tom Cullen and IFTA 2026 Lifetime Achievement recipient Ciarán Hinds were also previously announced as part of the cast. Production is underway in Ireland.

Based on Keegan's short story of the same name, the forthcoming drama will be directed by Corkman John Crowley, the filmmaker behind the Oscar-nominated drama starring Saoirse Ronan. More recently, the filmmaker hailing from Douglas directed the romance-drama starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield.

On Tuesday, Netflix further announced additional cast members, including: Mark Stanley Ruth Bradley Carrie Crowley Naoise Dunbar Jane Brennan and Bríd Brennan

Crowley will collaborate with fellow Irishman and multiple-Tony-nominated playwright and screenwriter Conor McPherson, who serves as the screenwriter for the new Netflix film.
Emily Blunt will produce through her Ledbury Productions, as will Compelling Pictures‘ Denis O’Sullivan and Jeff Kalligheri, and Element Pictures’ Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe. Ori Allon, Matthew Gallagher, Dennis Casali, Steven Garcia, John Crowley, Conor McPherson, Claire Keegan and Edmund Sampson will exec produce the film.
