Banshees of Insherin and Better Call Saul star Kerry Condon has said that working with Brad Pitt on the new F1 action drama was "a dream come true".

With just two months to go until the release of F1, Condon, alongside her co-star Damson Idris, who plays mentor rookie prodigy Joshua "Noah" Pearce, spoke at a press day at British racing track Goodwood.

The pair touched on working closely with Brad Pitt and producer Lewis Hamilton, as well as their experience filming on real Grand Prix circuits around the world.

In the new film, Tipperary-born actress Condon plays Kate McKenna, the race director of the fictional APXGP team and the first female technical director in Formula 1, opposite Pitt as veteran driver Sonny Hayes and Idris as young rookie driver Joshua Pearce.

Sharing her insights into her experience working with the fellow Irish actor on the highly anticipated film, Condon said Pitt instilled a sense of humility while making the movie better every step of the way and joked that her aim was to become "one of his top ten co-stars".

“Working with Brad was just a dream come true. He’s been in the business for so long and has worked with so many amazing people, I just really wanted to be in his top 10 co-stars… sort of my aim,” she said.

Speaking about working alongside Idris, she said: “Working with Damson Idris was fun, he’s like a child. He’s got amazing energy.”

Damson opened up about his passion for Formula 1, reminiscing his binge-watching sessions of ‘Drive to Survive’, and his opportunity to connect with the drivers on a personal level.

The film, which was shot over the past two years at Grand Prix races across the globe, will be released on June 25.
