Fontaines D.C. have been forced to cancel numerous tour dates after frontman Grian Chatten sustained an injury.
The lead vocalist of the band announced this week that he had suffered a herniated disc and that the band would be unable to play their string of gigs in South America.
His injury has led to the cancellation of five gigs in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
Chatten said he was “devastated” to announce the news in a statement published on social media this week.
“I am devastated to announce that, due to a herniated disc, we must cancel our show in Mexico tomorrow night and our forthcoming dates in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia,” he said in the statement posted on Instagram.

"I have been really excited to play these beautiful countries for years and it really hurts to be here in Mexico City and not be able to go onstage, but I have been advised today that I require urgent medical attention.
"We are very grateful for all your support and, with all my heart, I am sorry that I can’t play for you. Grian.” The band was due to play Mexico City on Tuesday night, Argentina and Chile on Friday, Argentina on March 27, Brazil on March 28 and Colombia on March 30.
The band, consisting of Grian Chatten, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan, Tomm Coll and Carlos O'Connell, is set to perform in North America in mid-April.
There are currently no details on whether the US and Canada shows, which will kick off with a show in Seattle, Washington, will be affected by Chatten’s injury.
