TV review: Like football, WAGS, sex and scandal? SVEN is for you

It all adds up to a tasty snapshot of noughties England

I’m not sure if you’ll like SVEN (Prime Video), but I loved it. That’s because it combines football, WAGS, sex, scandal and the British tabloids. If you like some or all of those, you’ll have a ball.

Sven is the story of Sven Goran-Eriksson, a quietly inscrutable Swedish man who started out coaching a semi-professional Gothenburg team to a European team, established his reputation managing Roma, Benfica and Lazio in Europe before taking the job of England manager in 2001.
