Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crew took the stage at their first international festival in Belgium on Sunday, with 15,000 people squeezed into their tent to see them.

The group, which is known for their viral track The Spark, performed at the PukklePop festival in the city of Hasselt in Belgium.

Huge international acts took to the stage at the festival over the weekend, including Stormzy, Fred Again, Raye and Sam Smith, as well as some Irish names such as Fontaines DC and Inhaler.

In its nearly 40-year history, Pukklepop has hosted Nirvana, Amy Winehouse, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and, now, Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crew.

In a video shared online, the crowd can be seen bopping along.

The Munster-based group had a busy weekend, playing Electric Picnic on Saturday before making their international debut.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Today FM Soundgarden in Stradbally for their performance and it’s fair to say they weren’t disappointed.

The group have played a number of festivals this summer including Kaleidoscope and All Together Now.

The crew is made up of members of the Kabin Studio, a non-profit organization on Cork city’s northside dedicated to nurturing young musical talent. They collaborated with the Lisdoonvarna Crew for The Spark, which was initially released to promote the Creative Ireland Programme and Cruinniú nan Óg which promotes creativity in young people.

The song went viral over the summer, with 4.7 million views on YouTube and more than 91.2K posts on TikTok using the sound.

It received a lot of attention in the media, including from the likes of BBC News, ABC’s Today Show, The New York Times, The Guardian and Time Magazine.
