It is not often you can review an album on two completely different levels but in the case of Pearl Jam’s newie, Dark Matter, I am uniquely placed. Firstly, I can review it on a normal volume level, for those likely to hear it at home, or on a radio, or you know, just normally, in the wild.

And then I can review it for anyone who is likely to hear it at a volume that makes you bleed from your eyes, nose, and ears, that makes breathing hard and induces panic. To help with the panic a man will roam the room dispensing shots of tequila. That man will be Eddie Vedder.
