Live at the Marquee adds a three-time Grammy winner to its summer line-up
Ne-Yo play at Cork’s Live at the Marquee on June 12
Good news for R&B fans — hitmaker Ne-Yo is coming to Cork this summer.
Ahead of his sold-out gig at Dublin’s 3Arena tomorrow night, the three-time Grammy-winner confirmed he will bring his Champagne and Roses Tour back to Ireland.
He will play at Cork’s Live at the Marquee on June 12, with tickets going on sale on Wednesday, March 27 at 10am from ticketmaster.ie.
Songwriter Ne-Yo has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and his 2005 debut single ‘So Sick’ was certified quadruple platinum.
His hits include ‘Sexy Love’, ‘Miss Independent’, and ‘Push Back’ [feat. Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don].
He has also penned hits for other singers, including Rihanna’s ‘Unfaithful’, ‘Russian Roulette’, and ‘Take a Bow’, along with Beyoncé’s 2006 breakup anthem ‘Irreplaceable’.
Ne-Yo recently released his eighth full-length album, Self Explanatory.
Yesterday, Cork native Lyra was also added to this year’s Live at the Marquee line-up.
The singer-songwriter recently played two sold-out nights at Cork Opera House and she is set to perform at the Marquee on Sunday, June 16 with tickets on sale on Monday, March 25 at 9am.
Live at the Marquee returns in May with Sugababes, Van Morrison, and Bryan Adams recently added to its summer schedule.
In a new location for its 19th year, the festival will take place near the old site, at the former Tedcastle Oil site, for 19 nights this summer.
Also among the acts confirmed for 2024 are John Bishop, Christy Moore, The Coronas, Gavin James and Damien Dempsey.
