Ruth O’Leary started writing short stories after a friend to her along to a writer's group in 2013 and some were published in 'Woman’s Way' and 'Ireland’s Own'.
Although she was a reader who loved English at school, Ruth had never considered herself a writer. She went straight from school to a job as a travel agent, staying there for 20 years.
“When each child was born, I dropped a day,” she says.
