Rosanna Davison has become the fifth celebrity dancer to be voted off Dancing with the Stars, ending her journey just before the quarter-finals.

Rosanna had scored 22 earlier in the night for her Paso Doble, but it had fallen a little bit flat for the judges, with head judge Loraine Barry saying she "had the steps," but it got "a little bit light." Rather ominously she had said, "I hope it's good enough for tonight for you."

The former Miss World faced The Six O’Clock Show presenter Katja Mia in the dance off who had scored 26 for her “cute as a button” American Smooth.

All three judges decided to save Katja, but judge Brian Redmond said it was one of the "closest" dance off's he'd seen.

"I've never seen a dance-off where you both improved as much as you did," he said.

Speaking as she left the competition, an emotional Rosanna said it had been a "hard week" and she had begun to feel "the strain" of the commitment required to train for the competition. Acknowledging the fact she had three kids under five-years-old she said, "there's been a lot of mom guilt.. so I think it's the right time."

Elsewhere, Blu Hydrangea scored the first perfect score of the season, despite admitting she was "terrified" of the samba. She also scored standing ovations from Loraine and Arthur for the second week in a row. Loraine called it "epic," while Brian said it was "tasty". Blu, meanwhile, said it was "the most drag dance" she could have done. She sat comfortably at the top of the leaderboard with 30 points.

Laura Fox found herself back near the top of the leaderboard with a tango. Brian said throughout the competition Laura has struggled with some of the “moodier” dances, but tonight she delivered a “tantalizing tango”. Meanwhile, head judge Loraine said she was impressed by her “posture and poise”. She scored 27, her second time to score 9s from all three judges.

Davy Russell was under pressure again this week with a jive. Brian Redmond said there was “great energy” and “great fun” but it was “a little bit rough around the edges in places.” He scored 23.

Arthur said Jason Smyth was "a bit too tight, a bit too rigid" during his waltz on Sunday night. Brian said it was "technically controlled, beautifully romantic" but could have done with "a bit more power". He scored 21, leaving him bottom of the leaderboard.

David Whelan closed Sunday night's show with contemporary ballroom to 'Paradise' by Coldplay. "You threw yourself into it," Loraine said, saying the highlight for her was the "counterbalance plank". Arthur said David was "incredibly talented," and for him it was "the perfect contemporary ballroom". He scored 28, including a 10 from Arthur.
