Beginner's pluck: Elephant care consultant Gerry Creighton

The former zookeeper now travels the world, to zoos and conferences, to express his philosophies, teaching that elephants need autonomy and freedom of choice.

Son of a zookeeper, Gerry Creighton has always been passionate about animals.

“As a kid, I’d spend hours looking at rats, mice, badgers, and rabbits. I spent weekends with my father up at the zoo, helping out in the pet’s corner, feeding lambs.”
