I have been lovingly picking my favourite albums of the year since I was about ten. I remember it because having picked a Thin Lizzy album, an 11-year-old friend then passed a copy of Ziggy Stardust into my hand and told me I knew nothing.
He was right of course and you can be too! However, in my defence, I’d better point out that I spend a huge amount of time each week listening to new music. I wake up each day thinking that today might be the day that I hear something that either floors me or puts a spring in my step. I am very often proved right.
