Rugby World Cup Final, RTÉ Two, 7pm 

Ireland didn’t make it – but the face-off between New Zealand and South Africa will nonetheless be a showdown to remember.

Survivor, BBC One, 8.25pm 

Watched on by presenter Joel Dommett, two “tribes” of castaways competing in a series of challenges in a remote corner of the Dominican Republic.

Julia Bradbury’s Irish Journey, Channel 4, 8.25pm 

It’s off to Northern Ireland, where presenter Bradbury visits Lough Neagh, Derry and then heads south once more to Sligo, and a tribute to WB Yeats.

SUNDAY

All the best action from the United Rugby Championship. In tonight's live coverage from Kingspan, Ulster and Vodacom Bulls go head to head in Round 2 of the championship.

Ireland’s Fittest Family, RTÉ One, 6.30pm 

Laura Fox is the latest presenter of the exacting reality show, in which families vie to prove they are the fittest in Ireland. They are mentored by Nina Carberry, Donncha O’Callaghan, Davy Fitzgerald and, for the first time ever, Cobh track and field icon Sonia O’Sullivan.

Curfá is a brand-new entertainment series for TG4, presented by Doireann Ní Ghlacáin, in which we go in search of the best choir in Ireland.

MONDAY

An Old Song Resung, RTÉ One, 6.30pm

It’s off to the RDS in Dublin, where Damien Dempsey, Dermot Kennedy and Tolü Makay are among those honouring the 100th anniversary of the Irish State with song and verse.

GAA 2023 Highlights, TG4, 8pm 

The Limerick hurling county final between Na Piarsaigh and Patrickswell receives prime billing in this roundup from the club football and hurling championships.

The Gilded Age, Sky Atlantic, 9pm 

Julian Fellowes returns with series two of his turn-of-the-century tale of haves-and-have-nots in wealthy Manhattan. It’s Downton Abbey with an American accent – but fans lapped up series one and will welcome more of the same.

TUESDAY

US GAA, TG4, 8pm 

Highlights from the 2023 US GAA Finals weekend, one of the biggest weekends in the US GAA calendar. This year the finals are hosted by the Denver Gaels Club in Colorado, on behalf of the Southwest Division of US GAA. 120 teams participated in the event which saw 100 games played across the four codes of football, hurling, ladies' football and camogie.

Rolf Harris: Hiding In Plain Sight, ITV, 9pm 

We’ve only just got over the horrific BBC Jimmy Savile drama, The Reckoning. Now, ITV chronicles the life and crimes of another disgraced icon of 1970s television, the late Rolf Harris.

Banged Up, Channel 4, 9.15pm

EastEnders actor Sid Owen, Gogglebox star Marcus Luther and British politician Johnny Mercer are among those participating in a new reality show in which celebs are locked away in a former prison in Shrewsbury.

WEDNESDAY

An Gúna Bainise, TG4, 8.30pm 

Brides from every corner of Ireland dust off their dresses and tell us the story of the gown and the era in which it was worn. We are introduced to wedding dresses and brides representing over 70 years of Irish society, each with a very special story to tell. Renowned sean-nós singer Sarah Ghriallais shares her wedding dress and tale of love and loss. We also follow a Cork love story that played out over three different continents.

A London detective returns to Shetland on the trail of a vulnerable witness. DI Ruth Calder must team up with Tosh to find the girl before it’s too late.

THURSDAY

Mary Makes It Easy, BBC 2, 7.30pm

Homemaking guru Mary Berry joins her friend Mel Giedroyc on a camping trip and shares some delicious recipes: a hearty chicken tartiflette, a speedy veg ragù and some creamy raspberry parfaits, all made easy.

Ear To The Ground, RTÉ One, 8pm

Maeve Quinn returns to present the long-running farming series alongside Ella McSweeney, who interviews a champion hedge layer who hopes to triumph in the All-Ireland championships.

Underdogs, TG4, 9.30pm 

The Goalposts have shifted for TG4’s Underdogs as the legendary series tackles Women's Soccer! Following on from Ireland's historic World Cup journey, club players will now have the opportunity to play in the big leagues, as management looks to find a squad of ambitious women to take on one of the top SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division teams. This week the Underdogs will undergo a gruelling fitness test to determine if they are up to League of Ireland standard. Plus, the team will play together as a team for the first time - giving management the opportunity to see who is at the standard.

FRIDAY

The Graham Norton Show, BBC One, 10.40pm 

Can the citizens of Fermoy ever forgive Norton for the unkind views of the town aired several weeks ago? As we await an answer, he is joined by Succession’s Sarah Snook and pop star Boy George.
