Katie Hannon explores the shelves of Ireland’s National Archives, digging out previously undisturbed documents, before heading out across the country to follow the trail of the stories behind them. This two-part series takes in the abandoned railway tracks of Donegal, life-changing houses in Clonakilty, and an airport on a bog in Co Mayo. She hears of the English influence on Ireland’s coins, and all about the country’s most feared hotel inspector.

Handmade: Britain’s Best Woodworker

Channel 4, 8pm

The next big challenge — making a freestanding handcrafted clock in only two days. The skills task involves recreating a bunch of realistic roses out of wood pieces planed from a block of ash — whoever comes out on top will be immune from elimination.

New 10-week series presented by Doireann Ní Ghlacáin — in search of the best choir in Ireland. On stage tonight are The Open Arts Community Choir, The Academy Chamber Choir, and Choir Club.

Dog behaviourist Paula has her work cut out for her when she meets the rough collie Jess whose fear of travelling in the car causes stress for owner Ursula.

The penultimate part of the controversial drama starring Steve Coogan sees Jimmy Savile at the peak of his fame and influence, having hosted BBC1’s Jim’ll Fix It for nearly 20 years.

Rob Murphy heads to Waterford to meet Lucia Byrne for a coffee date and a catch-up. They’ve hit a bump in the road when it comes to communication, and Lucia Byrne wants to clear the air. Andy Fox goes on his speed dates and picks two women to bring home to Westmeath — horse-mad Vicky Tate from east Cork, and teacher Naomi Kiernan from Wicklow.

Secrets of a Delivery Driver

From Amazon to Meals on Wheels, Deliveroo to Blood Bikes, this documentary gives a special insight into these valuable services. Meet Jack O’Callaghan who volunteers for Blood Bikes. From Nenagh, Dave Scullane delivers school lunches for the company The Lunch Bag. Friends Carmel Moran and Maureen Quinn deliver Meals on Wheels to people around Castlebar.

The three-part documentary claims to tell the true story of how Coleen turned amateur sleuth to find out why private stories concerning herself and her family, including her former England football star husband Wayne, kept popping up in the media, her infamous Instagram post that broke the story, and her subsequent successful High Court defamation battle.

A mix of sci-fi, murder mystery, period drama and police procedural, Netflix's next big hit stars Amaka Okafor and Stephen Graham. The The story begins in present-day London, when DS Shahara Hasan chases an armed teenager during a protest. She finds him standing over a naked corpse before he flees the scene. Shahara begins investigating what she thinks is a straightforward murder — until she discovers that the victim has also appeared in three other investigations, each taking place in a different time period. As the detectives piece together the evidence, it becomes increasingly clear they've inadvertently uncovered in a conspiracy that could cost hundreds of thousands of people their lives.
