Other Voices/UCC review: Sekou shines, while Picture This thrill with surprise gig
Sekou, Niamh Regan and Picture This performing at the Aula Maxima in UCC for Other Voices.
Other Voices returned to University College Cork on Thursday offering a mix of emerging and established Irish music acts, as well as a likely international star of the future.
It was the second year the music event had come to the Leeside campus, the alma mater of Other Voices founder Philip King. The Dingle-based Scullion singer and music entrepreneur spoke warmly of his time in UCC, and how he had first performed in public in 1971 in the Aula Maxima, the venue for Thursday’s main concert.
