CPR hero! Garda who saved man's life during Dublin Marathon visits him in hospital
A garda who helped save a man's life while he was running the Dublin Marathon has visited him in hospital.
Giancarlo Isacchi was taking part in the 26-mile race on Sunday when he collapsed from a suspected heart attack
Garda Niamh Connaughton was nearby and performed CPR before he was taken to hospital.
The force tweeted a picture of Garda Connaughton with Mr Isacchi, hailing her a "CPR hero".
They add that Mr Isacchi "is now doing well in hospital."
