Dublin hotel will no longer host the launch of an extreme right-wing party
The Merrion Hotel have responded to outrage on Twitter and have confirmed that they will not be hosting the event.
The hotel's manager Garrett Power said: "Please be advised that this event is not taking place at The Merrion Hotel."
Twitter users have rallied together to find out why a Dublin hotel is hosting the launch of an extreme right-wing party.
The National Party issued a press release yesterday about their launch party at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin, tomorrow November 17.
The press release states: “That one party, loyal to the Republic and a sovereign people, dedicated to unity by consent, that one party committed to real and sustainable economic growth, that one party which will speak for the great silent majority who have seen the beginnings of “multi-culturalism” with growing dismay, that one party who will represent that so basic of equalities, the equal right to be alive, that party is the National Party.”
So a white nationalist party is going to launch in Dublin this Thursday. Game on. pic.twitter.com/ze5oP0fl39

Speakers include its president Justin Barrett who has been involved with Youth Defence and the Mother and Child Campaign, and its deputy president James Reynolds, national treasurer of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association and former chairman of the Irish Farmers Association.
It is unclear whether the Merrion Hotel are aware of the nature of this party, we have contacted them for comment.
Meanwhile, Twitter users are rallying together to get to the bottom of it.
@MerrionHotel is the hospitality industry doing so badly that you're OK with allowing the launch of a neo-nazi party or are you supporters?

@MerrionHotel hosting an anti-elite event for the "national party"? The irony almost outweighs the disgust #NoToHate
