This dashcam footage of a typhoon swallowing a car is terrifying
This dashcam footage perfectly illustrates the power of even the smallest tornado - and how grateful we should be that we don't get them in Ireland.
Typhoon Soudelor hit Taiwan City over the weekend bringing with it heavy winds, rain and at least one tornado.
This footage shows what is described as a mini-tornado barrelling through a road. It was filmed on Sunday, August 9th - the date on the dashcam footage is incorrect.
There are many terrifying things about this video - the car in front being blown away as if it weighed nothing, the speed of the tornado - and the random person who appears suddenly 13 seconds in.
And then the tornado moves on, leaving everyone shell-shocked.
The typhoon has been barraging China and Taiwan since July 29th, leaving 28 people dead and more missing.
And to appreciate the full extent of the typhoon, watch this time-lapse video shot from space showing the eye of Soudelor - and the magnitude of the storm.
Eerie.
