VIDEO: Modern kids can't understand the original iPod
Today's kids are, in fact, younger than the original iPod. A kid born after the first-generation iPod's release in 2001 would now be 13 years old!
And boy, do they have trouble beleieving we ever for a device so stupid.
"It's kind of like a phone, but it plays music," says one, while his their 7-year-old companion is way more optimistic: "they have, like, apps, and you could play games".
"It was just used to play music, and that was it," is greeted with snorts of laughter.

Technology has come on so quickly that the it's easy to forget many children find the idea of non-touchscreen personal devices utterly ridiculous.
The existence of "contacts" on the original iPod since it had no phone inside - confused them all.
And the last question, six minutes in, is about whether or not adults should be offended by the kids' opinion that technology is dumb - and their reactions are great.
If anything, this video has made us nostalgic for the white brick of 20,000 songs that carried me through my late teenage years.
