On the front lines of Nepal: an aid agency's view of the crisis
This morning, a powerful earthquake struck Nepal, just a week after a 7.8 magnitude quake destroyed homes and infrastructure across the Kathmandu region.
The incident, which killed at least another 37 people, makes a documentary of survivors' stories from last week's earthquake even more poignant.
"On the Front Lines", from the Samaritan's Purse Christian relief project, talks to the people on the ground after the devastation, putting a human face to the numbers.
"In spite of losing homes and loved ones, many have heroically put others first and are serving with us in the relief effort," the creators write.
From the lack of shelter and food to the eyewitness accounts of fleeing neighbours being crushed by collapsing buildings, it's a different angle on the news, and also shows some of the work that aid agencies are putting in to provide necessities like food, medicine, and water.
It's worth a watch.
