Pierce Brosnan pens a personal letter to Robin Williams

Pierce posts his moving tribute on his Instagram.

Pierce Brosnan has given an emotional tribute to Robin Williams on his Instagram yesterday shortly after he was told of the actor's death.

The actor starred alongside Robin in one of his most famous roles, Mrs Doubtfire, and he attached one of the movie’s posters.

Pierce wrote; “Dear Robin...you made me laugh like no other...You bedazzled the world with your brilliant genius.

“Mrs Doubtfire and you will forever be in my heart, and the memory of you good man, shall remain constant throughout my days.

“It was a joy to work with you on a film that will be passed on from generation to generation. And to your loving family I extend my deepest heartfelt sympathies and prayers.”

“Peace be with you. Pierce,” the actor signed off.

Last year Pierce dealt with the loss of his daughter Charlotte to Ovarian cancer and in 1991 he tragically lost his wife Cassandra to the same disease.
